* NOTE: If ARCID appears unable to identify some ARJ self-extracting archive,
this is not a limitation of ULP, but bugs in ARJ versions 2.21, 2.21a
and 2.22. The ARJ SFX signature was not inserted into the ARJ SFX
header, therefore no program relying on this signature (such as ARCID
and ULP) cannot detect ARJ SFXs created with these versions. Version
2.20 and 2.30+ correctly insert the signature.
1.03 - ARCID was unable to automatically identify PKZIP 2.04? self-
(5-9-93) extracting archives created with the -j switch (SFX junior). Fixed.
Added a sample SLOWDRV.BAT file for use in conjunction with PCBoard
version 15.0.
1.02 - The self-extracting archive detection routine could intermittently
(12-22-92) fail depending on the location of the archive signature. Fixed.
1.01 - ARCID is now capable of autmatically identifying SQZ and SQZ self-
(12-16-92) extracting archives. Just add "SQZ" (no quotes) to your ARCID
command line extension list and trap the appropriate DOS errorlevel.
The screen-clearing code has been removed for better aesthetics when
called from other programs or batch files.
Increased the scanning range, improving it's reliability for archive
identification.
1.00 - The archive identification routine has been strengthened to reduce
(9-18-92) false identifications.
Salt Air (PCBoard Support BBS) has granted me an ULP support
conference on their system. It is conference #42, and I will be
monitoring it at least twice per week. You can get support for ARCID
as well there.
0.93ß and 0.94ß - Initial beta test releases.
